Couldn’t make it to Sugarloaf’s first Gaithersburg visit this fall? You’ve got a second chance – and you’re in for something even bigger this time around! The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival returns to the Montgomery County (MD) Fairgrounds starting November 18 for their flagship event of the 2016 fall season.

This three-day extravaganza is one of the biggest Maryland festivals of the year. Even if you’ve been to a Sugarloaf festival before, this one will be unlike any you’ve seen. The fairgrounds will be teeming with more than 450 of America’s most talented independent artists and craftspeople, with a mix of nationally known and local emerging artisans. Each exhibitor is carefully curated and vetted to ensure only the highest-quality original handmade work is available.

Whether you’re shopping for an early Christmas gift or looking to add something new to your collection, you’ll find something to match any interest and budget. An extensive array of fine arts and paintings will be available, including handmade prints, calligraphy, oil paintings and mixed media. Be dazzled by forged iron and glass blown art, designer and precious jewelry, leather moccasins and stunning photography. You can also pick up new clothing and accessories for all ages, with handmade fleece clothing a particular attraction as the weather turns cooler.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, now is a great time to pick up something new and exciting for the dinner table. Choose from a variety of specialty foods for your holiday spread such as roasted nuts, handmade cheese, balsamic vinegar and gourmet truffles. Fine wines and hand-blended teas will also be available. Add in live art demonstrations, live music and a children’s interactive theatre, and the result is an exciting weekend for the entire family.

Discounted three-day tickets are now available online for the best craft festival in the metro Washington DC area! You can also receive the “Sugarloaf rate” from select area hotels, helping you plan an entire weekend to see everything there is to see. Artist and live entertainment listings are also available, and you can contact us or visit our Frequently Asked Questions section for more information.
