Sugarloaf Crafts Festival Showcases Emerging, Established Talent

Nationally Recognized Event comes to Montgomery County Fairgrounds

Gaithersburg, MD (October 10, 2016) – Independent artisans from throughout the country will be on hand this Friday, October 14 through Sunday, October 16 for the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, MD. The three-day event is part of the Fall 2016 Tour for Sugarloaf, which is consistently ranked among the top fine arts and crafts shows in the eastern United States, and has been featured by Bravo TV, ABC, USA Today, The Washington Post and other major media.

For more than 40 years, Sugarloaf has been helping launch the entrepreneurial careers of independent artists and craftspeople that specialize in maker-designed goods. This weekend’s Gaithersburg Sugarloaf Crafts Festival will bring more than 200 curated exhibitors together under one roof while attracting collectors and enthusiasts from the greater Washington, DC area and beyond.

In addition to displaying and selling handmade items such as paper art, contemporary jewelry, fine leather wallets and handbags, ceramics and other unique creations, exhibitors are encouraged to be a part in Sugarloaf’s welcoming atmosphere. By greeting visitors, telling stories and giving demonstrations, each exhibitor becomes a part of the artistic community, with lasting exposure to hundreds of thousands of patrons annually.
