PRESS / media / in the news
Sugarloaf Craft Festivals is always honored when local news — including newspapers, radio stations and TV channels — cover our art and craft shows. Ours is a genuinely one-of-a-kind shopping experience with a rich history that’s a cornerstone of the art and crafts worlds in the Mid-Atlantic. We’ve been fostering regional and non-regional artist-entrepreneurs for over 40 years and have a devoted following of collectors who attend multiple events per year.

Our 11 annual art and craft shows are known for their unique, touch-based shopping environment, which counters the impersonal world of online shopping on craft-selling websites. Unlike standard art and craft shows, Sugarloaf has always maintained a strong focus on providing the public with exclusively hand-crafted, original and one-of-a-kind artwork and crafts. We do not allow the sale of any mass-produced or manufactured art or goods at Sugarloaf. Additionally, all of our sellers are subject to an in-depth jury selection process to ensure their work is high quality and meets the discriminating taste of our growing visitor base.
Sugarloaf Craft Festivals was started in 1975 and has since grown to host 11 annual art and craft shows throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, in Maryland — which is our home base — as well as Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia. Each show attracts over 10,000 visitors and hundreds of artist and craftspeople who come to sell their work.
