Chuks Okoye began his formal study of sculpture and African iconography at the University of Nigeria. After he came to the U.S., he attained a BFA at the University of Oklahoma and majored in product design and minored in painting.
After a short stint as a designer, he started his own business offering fine art, product design and custom framing.
Chuks creates African-American fine art pieces using oil, acrylics, pastels and mixed media in a style he calls “Abstract-Realism.” He also creates wood collages, 3D wall sculptures.
In his art, he uses positive imagery to inspire motivation and a sense of possibility for all people.
