Olga Goldin / Gold'n Ceramics
pottery & ceramics
Hometown: Reisterstown, MD
Olga Goldin received her artistic training in her Minsk, Belarus and started her ceramics business after coming to the United States in 1994. Using only her own hands, she crafts an assortment of Judaica and botanical-themed pieces.
Many of her Judaica sculptures honor significant holidays and milestones in Jewish family life, often with a humorous slant. Her best selling pieces are her mezuzahs (house blessings).
Her favorite items are the ones with leaf designs. She collects leaves from her own back yard and uses them to shape clay leaves into shoes, purses, teapots and many other sculptures.
She receives many orders for sculptures inspired by family photos.
