Wood Turnings

Hometown: Grassy Creek, NC

If you are of a certain age, you might remember the old Volkswagen buses that were so popular in the 1960’s and 70’s. Barbara Greenberg and Walter Jacobus of Walnut Hill Crafts certainly do. In 1976, they started driving to arts and crafts festivals with their show gear strapped to the roof of a Volkswagen bus. They’ve recently returned to the arts and crafts show circuit after many years supplying wholesale accounts. Look for them at upcoming Sugarloaf Crafts shows selling their dimensional puzzles, toys, birdhouses, clocks and other items carved out of repurposed chestnut wood. Their work is also exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States.
