Donna Noblitt / Colonial Braided Rug Company
Textiles / Rugs
Hometown: Shelby, NC
Colonial Braided Rug Company has been in the same family since 1978. Donna Noblitt joined her parents’ business in 1983 and later purchased the company from them upon their retirement in 1990.
Though she knows every phase of the business from beginning to end, her specialty is rug design. She will modify any rug pattern to match individual decor as well as create completely new designs, as needed. Customers can preview yarn samples and patterns in primitive, country, Americana, Colonial and contemporary styles.
Their rugs are made with a strong, colorfast spun polypropylene made in Dalton, GA. Their rugs are reversible, machine washable and durable enough for outdoor as well as indoor use. This specially fabricated yarn even survives pet accidents without any loss of color.
Their most popular rug design is their signature, “Joseph’s Coat” which can be custom designed with 4 - 6 custom colors or with one of their tried and true designs.
