Hometown: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
RJ Reichl practiced photography as a hobby until he joined the army. He served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Surveillance Photographic Equipment Repairman, including time in Vietnam. He also served in the MD Army National Guard as a public affairs photographer while continuing to learn and improve his photography skills. While there he formed relationships with many other photographers and photojournalists.
Since retiring from the Army, RJ has decided to pursue photography full time. Though he admires many artists, RJ has found particular inspiration in the work of Ansel Adams and Christopher Burkett.
