The Philadelphia area welcomes the Sugarloaf Craft Festival this fall! The award-winning show will be at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa. for a three-day engagement starting November 3, bringing the best in high-quality arts, crafts and design together under one roof.

With the calendar having just turned, the holiday season will be in the air, making it the perfect time to find unique gifts for family and friends. You’ll find plenty to choose from at the Sugarloaf Craft Festival, featuring the best in local and national contemporary fine arts and crafts. You’ll get to meet some of the most talented artists and craftspeople in their fields – and may even bring home a story to go with your gift or addition to your personal collection.

In addition, each Sugarloaf craft show features master craftspeople and other artisans giving live demonstrations in pottery, metal spinning, glass blowing and more. It’s a great way to see and experience the process behind your favorite crafts. You can even take part in a hands-on sculpting workshop. Middle Earth Studio’s costume theatre storytelling returns for the kids, there’ll be live modern jazz music from multiple bands. Stop by one of the food vendors for a delectable meal, or stock up on your favorite specialty nuts, pretzels, jams, cheeses, wine and more.

For more than 40 years, Sugarloaf Craft Festivals have set the standard for live fine arts and crafts events, launching the careers of thousands upon thousands of independent artisans. Sugarloaf Crafts Festival returns to Oaks just in time to kick off your holiday shopping. Put your shopping shoes on and join us Friday through Sunday, November 3rd through 5th at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center. Sugarloaf features the work of more than 300 highly regarded artists all in one place. Enjoy meeting the artists and learning about their process. Find the most unique holiday gifts for everyone on your list. And, feel good knowing your holiday shopping is supporting small creative businesses.

You’ll find gifts for every taste. Choose from a large selection of fine leather and fabric bags, handcrafted jewelry and wearable art. For the home, you’ll find hundreds of decorative vases, bowls, fine art paintings and photography as well as fascinating sculptures created from clay, wood and metal.  If you have your own vision for an item, the artists are happy to create custom orders or help you to immortalize an event by incorporating a special memento into an artistic piece.

Get a glimpse into the workday of professional artists as you watch a glassblower, paper crafter, broom maker, jewelry maker, wood carver, metal spinner or iron forger turn raw material into a dazzling finished piece at any of the recurring live demonstrations during the festival. These creators truly love what they do and they’re happy to answer your questions about their work.

Seeing so much handmade work can make you want to jump into the role of maker yourself. At the Oaks show, people of all ages have the opportunity to do just that with a free painting workshop. Or if you’d rather take to the stage, grab a costume and create your own character with Middle Earth Studios live theatre for children and adults.

All in all, Sugarloaf is a feast for the artistic and culinary spirit. Purchase your tickets online and save 20%. There is abundant free onsite parking and each festival ticket is good for the entire weekend. If coming from out of town, check out these participating hotels for the Sugarloaf rate.

The show is conveniently located in in the northern Philadelphia suburbs. The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center is just minutes away from King of Prussia.
